The best car wash comes from professionals who are well trained and experienced
in handling all makes and models, both foreign and domestic. As you can
see from this list, a regular Professional KWIK KAR full-service wash,
that also specialize in detailing, does wonders for your vehicle.
- Its Safer and Healthier for You and Your Family:
The interior of your vehicle is a relatively small space
and is one of the leading places where very harmful microorganisms,
such as bacteria and viruses, can thrive. So, more than just wiping
down your vehicles interior, our KWIK KAR Detailing Professionals
are trained in the proper use of portable commercial grade ultraviolet
germicidal irradiation devices to hygienically clean vehicle interiors,
including under carpets and inside air vents, which discourages growth
of bacteria and viruses that are known causes of health ailments.
- Safer Driving Conditions:
Most people understand not seeing clearly out of your
windshield is putting you and your family at risk for an accident;
danger could be around the cornerliterally. Clean headlights,
windshield and wipers allow you to see roads more clearly even during
snowy or rainy nights. Dirt-free brakes give you more control of your
car. Not to mention that a clean vehicle can shine better which may
help make you more noticeable to other drivers.
- Better Fuel Efficiency:
Did you know that a clean vehicle runs better than a
dirty one? Its true. Studys have compared the fuel efficiency
of the same vehicle, when driven both dirty and clean, found that
when washed, the fuel efficiency was better by up to 10%. Dirt may
not seem like it would drag your vehicle down, but it does. You are
saving yourself a lot of money when you have your vehicle professionally
detailed on a regular basis.
- Better for the Environment:
Professional car washes better for the environment than
washing it yourself because Professional car washes use less water,
and the cleaning product residue is directed to a water
treatment plant instead of just running off into a yard or a drain.
The products used at KWIK KAR Wash are the best quality available,
as well as being safe and ecologically friendly.
- Your Car Will Look Its Best:
Who doesnt prefer their vehicle to look like new?
A frenquent car wash by KWIK KAR Professionals can keep you feeling
good about your car, as opposed to feeling badly about it each time
you see it covered in dust and dirt. Passengers will also benefit
from a disinfected interior and be less likely to dirty it up
if its already clean and looking spiffy.

KWIK KAR in San Angelo, TX is an
Official Vehicle Inpection Station
In Texas, state law requires that your vehicle is insured,
the registration is current, and that your vehicle is inspected on a
regular basis (in most cases, yearly) to ensure that it is safe and
roadworthy for you as well as for other drivers on the road.
Some of the most common issues that cause inspections to fail can be assessed (and fixed if necessary) before your inspection is due. These items include:
- Windshield Wipers your wipers should have a flexible rubber
blade (not hardened), be free of rips and tears, and make full positive
contact with the vehicles windshield.
- Brakes If drums, rotors, or brake pads are less than the
manufacturers established limits, your car could fail the inspection.
Your Parking Break also needs to be in good working order.
- Light Bulbs All exterior lights (brake
lights including your rear middle break light, high and low
beam headlights, license plate bulbs, and turn signals)
need to be working properly. For interior lights, if your Check Engine
or Maintenance Required bulb is illuminated, your vehicle will not
pass inspection.
- Horn The vehicles horn, which is considered a safety
feature, needs be in good working order emitting a sound that is audible
for a distance of 200 feet or more.
- Tires All tires (except for the spare)
need to be rated for highway use, pass a visual inspection, and pass
a tread depth test with tread measuring above 1/16th
of an inch in order to pass.
- Window Tinting The front driver and passenger windows must
have at least 25% light transmittance, and the tint cannot be red
or amber in color.
- Other areas assessed during inspections that
need to be in good working order, include: mirrors, seatbelts, gas
caps, steering mechanism, wheel assembly, and (in metro areas) your
exhaust and emissions system.
